Overview:
JWH-398 is an analgesic chemical from the naphthoylindole family. It was found in three separate ‘herbal incense’ products purchased by TICTAC Communications Ltd from online shops from February to June 2009. JWH-398 acts as an agonist both at the CB1 and the CB2 receptors, having a slight selectivity for the former.

Side Effects and Adverse Reactions:
JWH-398 is a research chemical. Research chemicals are experimental chemicals that are not approved for human consumption. This is because not enough data exists currently about their side effects, adverse reactions, long term damage, addiction potential, etc. Although some people are willing to ingest research chemicals, it is not reasonable to assume that they are in any way safe to use recreationally.
JWH-398 and Drug Tests:
JWH-398 is a synthetic cannabinoid that currently cannot be detected with drug tests. This is because of how drug tests work. The basic concept is that your body attempts to break down any drugs you ingest. Metabolites are formed as part of this process; testing looks for the specific types of metabolites that could only occur as a result of drug taking. There is currently (as of Nov, 2009) no test that tests for the metabolites of synthetic cannabinoids. Rumor has it that scientists are developing a drug test that tests for them, although, the development and implementation process could take years.
E-books:
The NeuroSoup Trip Guide - This e-book discusses: Set, Setting, and Preparation for a Trip, Tips for Tripsitters, Aspects of the Entheogenic Experience, Working with Difficult Experiences, and Integration. Adverse psychological reactions, like flashbacks and HPPD, may potentially be avoided with proper preparation before and integration after entheogenic journeys. Thus, this e-book serves the purpose of harm reduction education. For clarity, NeuroSoup does not advocate the use of illegal, quasi-legal, or legal drugs. All substances that affect the central nervous system (legal or illegal) can have side effects, adverse reactions, and negative interactions with other drugs. Abstinence is always the best way to protect one's health.
